Conversations with Critters Tuesday November 11, 2025
Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. And the butterfly effect, of chaos and cocoons...
Today Critters, we are moving along on the time-space continuum and are pleased to share with you that our bodyclocks have started to settle into the rhythm of Daylight Standard Time.
We have turned to the wide open spaces in the great outdoors for inspiration and, furthermore, right here indoors and inside of ourselves, we are finding room to roam when the temps drop and the rain pours down upon us.
Please, welcome our Core Community Critters Jasper Kitten, Chris and Jojo in excellent chaos and cocoon critter conversation.
Heidi: Hello and welcome, Friends! We have a rather wide ranging set of topics of a certain level of complexity to share with you, so let’s get right to it without any further delay. Take it away!
Jasper: Greetings, Friends!
Chris: Please, Everyone, join me on the Couch.
Jojo: I luvluvluv you. All. Of. You. Hello, hello.
Jasper: Critters. Please, may I have your attention. Our conversation opener, behind closed Condo doors, began with the initial and incredible idea that we would discuss Chaos Theory and the meaning of the Butterfly Effect where a small change can have a big consequence elsewhere, plus, everything is interconnected and has feedback loops. However. Things, shall we say in the vernacular, quickly got out of control. The end.
Chris: Full stop. With the exception of feedback loops which lead to kibble in my bowl, the discussion was simply too theoretical for our tastes. The end.
Jasper: Furthermore, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, that is theoretical about chaos at the Condo. The end again.
Jojo: So, what are we going to talk about? Question mark. Question mark.
Chris: I suggest keeping this brief and taking a nap as a follow up to the time change from last week. The end.
Jasper: Well said, Chris. Furthermore, this is a well thought out idea not only in theory but in actual and factual practice.
Chris: Thank you, Jasper.
Jasper: You’re welcome.
Jojo: Would now be a good time to say that I’ve seen butterflies when I’m out on my miracle mile walks?
Jasper: Fur sure, Jojo. There’s no time like the present as I have learned from experience and especially since we fell back an hour last week. The end. The. End.
Chris: We’re all ears, Jojo.
Jojo: Thank you, Chris and Jasper. I have seen butterflies when I’m out on my walks and they have a very uplifting effect on me.
Jasper: I see. Thank you for sharing, Jojo.
Chris: Thank you, Jojo.
Jojo: Let’s share a photo of a butterfly for the edification and enjoyment of our Dear Gentle Critters and our Dear Gentle Readers:
Jojo: Would now be a good time to pivot to the topic of butterfly metamorphosis?
Jasper: As opposed to the non-starter topic of chaos?
Jojo: Yes.
Jasper: Thank you for the clarification. Yeah. I feel good about the pivot. Please. Proceed.
Chris: Ditto.
Jojo: Excellent. Metamorphosis is the specific life cycle of a butterfly from an egg to a caterpillar to a cocoon state to a full blown Critter in flight. The end.
Chris: That sounds really good to me. I’d like to be in a cocoon on the Couch.
Jasper: Incredible. Thank you, Jojo, for this most opportune, transformational and insightful pivot. Full stop.
Jojo: You’re welcome, Jasper. Oh. By the way. Do you feel calmer?
Jasper: Thank you for the question, Jojo. Come to think of it at the moment, yes. The end.
Chris: Critters, it is now time to practice poetry in motion and pivot to the Couch. Thank you for the kindness of your attention in the midst of both chaos and cocoons. Please stay safe and have fun out there.
Jasper: The.
Jojo: End.

I think that's the best haiku yet, dear critters! Luvluvluv this!💞
I love how the Critters pivoted from abstract Chaos Theory to the simple beauty of butterfly metamorphosis!
It's a charming and insightful reminder to choose transformation and calm over complexity. Jojo's enthusiasm is the best.
