Conversations with Critters
Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. And Chris & Jasper Kitten plot the way forward together on the path unwinding…
Today, Critters, our Core Community Cats, Chris & Jasper Kitten, share a wide ranging discussion and consider the recent developments that have impacted their nine lives.
The conversation naturally turns to their formation of the J Kitten, Sleuth & Purveyor of Bright Shiny Objects Detective Agency with a synopsis and commentary thus far. Solving mysteries. Seeking adventure. What will happen next? What is both puzzling and loads of fun? What.
Please, join us now in excellent yet mysterious critter conversation.
Heidi: Hello, Friends! Welcome welcome to our Furever Friday Post! I am on the verge of getting the syllabus for the Oregon Naturalist Program and am heading out on a preliminary walk in the woods. Take it away, Critters!
Jasper: Welcome welcome to our Dear Gentle Readers and our Dear Gentle Critters!
Chris: What and welcome. Thank you. Thank you very much. The end.
Jasper: You know, Chris, we’ve really hit the ground running with the formation of our J Kitten, Sleuth & Purveyor of Bright Shiny Objects Detective Agency. And! The beginning of what we anticipate, what we expect and what we plan on turning, creating and, yes!, producing into a Series of Critter Mysteries. The end.
Chris: The end, indeed! What a good conversation starter, Jasper, and it speaks well to how much the plot has already thickened in the first five chapters or our story, The Case of The Misplaced Priority Envelope.
Jasper: Absolutely, Chris. We’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback from our Dear Gentle Readers and our Dear Gentle Critters for this first book in the series. Many thanks to everyone for reading!
Chris: Fantastic news. Thank you for the update, Jasper. Thank you very much!
Jasper: You’re welcome!
Chris: First and foremost, we’ve received a lot of encouragement and support for our decision to honor the luvluvluving memory of our Senior Shining Star by continuing to characterize her in our Detective Stories.
Jasper: Yes. Star shines through the storyline. Honestly and openly, we wouldn’t be able to figure anything out without her presence, her essence, and her radiance from Dog Heaven.
Chris: And her Can Do Chihuahua attitude. That really shines through. It helps me to feel less lonely on the Couch, too. So, we’ll keep this synopsis and commentary rather brief as I am in need of my next nap. The end.
Jasper: Of course of course. Furthermore, the Clues are resonating well with our highly esteemed readership.
Chris: Yes.
Jasper: The Chrome Plated Bell has really struck a chord.
Chris: It has.
Jasper: And the Haiku Clues have inspired a series of Haiku Comments from our friend and highly esteemed Poet Photographer
which we now present to one and all!🐾🐾 Large bell, tyre slash the element of surprise! Beware giant cat???? Critter friends explore Supportive sleuthing journey. We hold anxious breath! Two year critter chat Friends detecting together Wonderful stories Something is missing The plot thickening indeed Part Fur (Four) awaited Detectives haiku Follow mystery story in small critter verse What big cat forgets might reveal important clues Our sleuths continue Have our sleuths been lured to dock of the bay rental? Suspicious serval! 🐾🐾
Chris: With the introduction in Chapter Four of Mr. Serval, the Client of the Story, we’ve also received further compelling responses from our highly valued and esteemed Readers.
Jasper: Generally, the Serval is coming across as quite a suspicious character to our incredible readership with speculation running rampant from a lack of trust in Mr. Serval’s motives to the possibility of an evil Serval twin lurking in the background. Furthermore, we thank our friend and highly esteemed oxygenated colleague
for this incredible specific plot point, Critters.Chris: Yes. But! It’s still quite early on in the investigation to draw further conclusions beyond a suspicious suspicion. The end.
Jasper: So, let’s proceed with all due caution, Critters. Please, stay tuned for Chapter 6 next Tuesday which is now reserved as our Regularly Scheduled Detective Storytime!
Chris: Oh! Our Hooman has returned from her Nature Walk!
Jasper: What is she doing out on the porch?
Chris: You know, from my vantage point at the kitchen window, it looks like she’s photographing the findings from the Field.
Jasper: Thank you for this incredible observation, Chris.
Chris: You’re welcome quite naturally, Jasper.
Jasper: Let’s share a photo of the rewilding of our neighborhood park, formerly known in the vernacular as a golf course.
Jasper: Gosh, Chris, it sure looks like the hawk is more recent to the park than the golf ball and broken tee.
Chris: Good point, Jasper. This is the true order of things. Critters first. Then clean up old golf balls. Then clean up old broken tees.
Jasper: Yeah. I feel good about it, Chris.
Chris: Ditto, Jasper. Ditto.
Jasper: Critters, with that ditto ditto said, we conclude our Detective Story Synopsis and Commentary and our Field Notes on golf balls and broken tees and hawk feathers. May all of you find your own inner rewilding until we see you next time.
Chris: Thank you for your rapt attention, Critters. Please, stay safe and have fun out there and make room on the Couch for someone you luvluvluv. The End.
