When I was recovering from the CHF event when I left the hospital, a friend of mine got me a gag gift, because I was sleeping a lot. They were doing titrations of my meds to see which ones I could handle/not handle and even swapping some out to give me new ones. They tested 15, but I only have to take eight now, once a day...so that's pretty good. My new cardiologist let me drop two of them, because my heart has recovered.
It was a shirt and it said, "I'm great in bed, I can sleep all day." :)
We luvluvluv this so much, Squizz, especially the part about your heart recovering. Star is on 2 heart meds and one neuro med. All 3 are now specially compounded for her Shiningness because she doesn’t like pills. One transdermal. 2 oral tinctures. And voila!
Looks like a wonderful slumber party! Thanks for sharing the excitement, Heidi and critters. And, Star, I luvluvluv that your heart is functioning well. <3
Thank you, Diana! We luvluvluv having you here with us at Critters to share in the festivities and fun! Steve is cordially invited to the Slumber Party! ⭐️
That's great to hear Star is on the mend. Perhaps we've passed peak summer and the cooler drier weather sets in making it easier to breathe as well. I love that poem and it is so fitting considering Star's "Chihuahua can do spirit!"
Thank you, Neil! Great points on the cooler drier weather. It is the highest of compliments on the poem as we hold your poetry in such esteem. Thank you very much!
She’s a sweetie! She melts my heart! ❤️love those little pups. Bless you for taking care of her. This is my senior baby, Bailey, she’s14 and got her and her sister as puppies at 8 weeks She’s got cancer, so we just take it day by day:) Not sure I am going to be able to live without her….
Thank you so much, Kim. We really appreciate having you here with us at Critters. Wishing you and Bailey well. Please keep us posted and we are here if you need a sympathetic ear.:)⭐️🐾🐾⭐️
Hi Star, William, Julie Rae and I are soooo happy you are doing well! Congratulations. Julie Rae is just a little kitty and she really likes parties. She snoozes a lot and she's a very good girl. When she read about your party she became very excited and ran off to tell Mommy that we are all going to Star's celebration party!
Star, is your party going to be virtual? I haven't had the heart to tell little Julie Rae that she needs an invitation. She's such a sweet, sweet little thing, and she's already been through so much in her life. My baby sister is full grown, but she only weighs 6.5 pounds. Before she came to visit us, she had a litter of eight kittens. She loves being with us so much that she stayed here for her forever home. Star, I don't want to crash your party, but would you at least have room for my sweet Baby Julie Rae to attend? She is SOOO excited and I can't imagine telling her that she can't attend,
Please let us know. In the meanwhile, you are AWESOME,
Thank you, Emily, William and Julie Rae. Oh my goodness. Gosh, where to start. Thank you very much for being here with your shining shininess. Your story about Julie Rae’s natural history is incredible. I am inviting all of you to crash my Slumber Party. This invitation has also been extended to Arya the Cockatiel and Steve the Cat. I have coined the term, Sleeping Remotely. You are 100% welcome welcome! Luvluvluv, Star ⭐️
Julie Rae will be soooo excited! William will wear his new green bandana and I'll wear my new neon pink bandana. We can hardly wait. Star luvluvluv is so wonderful and we are over-the-moon she is ok. We were worried about her. Hugs and tail wags!

Hi Heidi . And thank you for the birthday wish . Love all the furfriends here . Yet been vert worried about Star . I am happy she is doing great . Hugs and pets to all
It's a cool day today, due to the torrents of rain we had this morning and I'm very grateful that my nose is not stuffed and I don't have a wheeze.
That's really neat that you had an echo, Star, I have to get one done too. It used to be every six months, but now it's only once a year. I don't like the fact that they press very strongly on my chest. It hurts! Did you have an EKG done too? It's where they put sensors on your body which are very sticky so that they will hold, and then plug in something that looks like an octopus with eight arms? I always have to get one of these done, if I have a cardiac event. It shows the cardiologist that my heart's rhythm is "normal". I think your heart might beat a little faster than mine, due to your size. I'm also a wee human, so my heart beats faster than most humans.
Hello, Squizz, and thank you so much for your comments. I didn’t have an EKG, but I was very, shall we say, Chihuahua about the Echo. The cardiologist really had his work cut out for him. I said, you think it’s going to be easy? Think again. I. Am. Going. Chihuahua. On. You. Later in July, when I had my chest X-ray study, I had a smoother ride due to the advent of a light sedation. I even got a nail trim. I hope you feel good. Luvluvluv, Star ⭐️
Slumber party is perfect for those professional sleepers. Interesting medical descriptions
