Thank you, Mary! Given the high dramatic tension that Jasper Kitten feels about water, we really need to pursue your idea of one of the detective stories being on location with a swimming pool.:)
Hi Critters & Miss Heidi, This is Emily on behalf of the Hounds & Cats of Hound Hollow. JoJo, please be careful near those huge surfing waves. My brothers and I go swimming every day in the lake, but there aren't any waves big enough to surf in. William and I have both swam to the other side of the lake, but we haven't allowed Travis the Pup to do that yet. JoJo, dog surfing sounds very dangerous and I know how brave and adventurous you are. Please take care of yourself.
My sister Julie Rae, the cat wants to say something to Jasper, so I'll pass the keyboard over to her. Be safe. Hugs to all of you- Critters!
Hi Jasper, This is Julie Rae, I would be TERRIFIED to go surfing. I understand why you don't want to. My brothers, Mackey and Tommy told me they would be terrified as well. We can't imagine what would prompt any cat to go cat surfing. As for sand in your toe beans. We live on a lake, so we know all about that. All you need to do is dip your paws in your water bowl. The sand will fall to the bottom of the bowl and your toes will be squeaky clean. Miss Heidi will see your water bowl has sand in it and she will give you fresh water. It works every time. So feel free to play on the beach.
Thank you Lois and the Hounds & Cats of Hound Hollow! We very much appreciate your thoughtful response to surfing. To be honest, we have completely avoided water all weekend and have been safe and sound on the Couch. Whew! Jojo has gone on long walks at the Park which of course of course has creeks and ponds, but the water has been for observational purposes only. We, and Jasper most of all, are especially grateful for the toebean tip about cleaning out sand. That is incredible and notes have been taken. We all know how handy Jasper is with his white gloved paws and he is quite adept at dipping them in the water bowls, so you have really helped us make some serious progress with this cleaning method. We are truly grateful. Thank you as always for reaching out to us. Luvluvluv, Jasper Kitten, Chris & Jojo. Furever.
Couch surfing can be a valid sport; it does take effort and skill to position one's feline body just the right way on a couch. I hope that it gets recognition one day.
"I really need support right now." Heidi, I laughed out loud! What a fun post, I'm going to read it again. Your critters have me smiling! So good.

The Case of the Deep Deep End
Corporations should be jumping at the chance to sponsor Chris for Couch Surfing!
Thank you, James! Chris will keep you posted as to the corporate offers that pour in!
Dog surfing? Cat surfing? I’m with the critters and I’m all for the couch surfing! 🏄♀️
Thank you, Trudi! Has dog and cat surfing (ocean and/or couch) caught on in the UK?
A quick search reveals that yes, there are dog surfing competitions here. Who knew?! On paddle boards, bless them!
Excellent news!

Thank you, Perry! Chris is really at the top of his game and will continue to promote his sport.
Lol Heidi! We Luvluvluv the beach! Do you have dog friendly beaches in Oregon?
Thank you, Kristin! Did you get your cool down? The Oregon Coast is definitely dog friendly. It's a spectacular coastline.:)
Thankfully we did :)
That’s great! There’s a dog beach here. I love to visit and watch the pups frolic 🐾
That's so great, I luvluvluv dog beaches! Good to know you got a cool down. That will help with your enjoyment of the weekend!!
Haha, awesome topic, Heidi. Surfing or Couch Surfing it's all good for the critters.
Thank you, Neil! We simply couldn't resist the comparison with the Couch. And I loved the opening image, what a great shot.:)
