Today, Critters, we are letting the starshine in! In a first of its kind incredible conversation, we explore our ever expanding community with a deep deep dive into the natural life history of our newly adopted Senior Pup, the one, the only, Star!
From the far flung recesses of the universe, a great intergalactic gathering is about to take place right here on Earth. To help us navigate this meet-and-greet of epic cosmic proportions, we have a stellar line up featuring our constant crew of Jasper Kitten, Chris, and Kermit. Please, join us now in excellent shooting star critter conversation.
Heidi: Hello, Friends! Thank you and welcome welcome to this incredible discussion that will have all the warm power of the sun! With great honor and luvluvluv, please allow me to introduce the most highly esteemed and senior member of our critter family. She came into our lives with a meteoric rise. Take it away, our very own shooting Star!
Star: Gosh. I hardly know what to say. I’ve waited a very long time to find Furever. Thank you for adopting me now and furever. Thank you very much.
Jasper: Hello, Critters! We are so thrilled to have Star join our family and our community and the whole entire Milky Way, all of the constellations in the sky, from sunrise to sunset, and all of the planets in alignment as they orbit the Sun. Welcome Home, Star!
Star: Thank you, Jasper. That’s so nice of you. I am truly humbled.
Chris: What. Star. What impresses me immediately upon your adoption is your incredible affinity for the Couch. Speaking of taking it away, you took my spot.
Star: Yes, Chris, I realize that I displaced you. I believe we have a lot in common already. I got on the Couch immediately upon arriving at the Condo and took a nap.
Chris: Finding Furever can be quite exhausting. This is how cats and dogs learn to share with each other and forge a deep deep and abiding bond. I am rather flexible because of my gentle gray nature. I am known, in fact, for my skills in practicing the art of the pivot. For the record, I have pivoted to the opposite end of the Couch. The end.
Star: Thank you, Chris. I have a good feeling about living with you furever. Thank you very much. I sure did get tired waiting and waiting to get adopted. It took so long. I’m a Senior, it’s true, and even though I’m not sure how old I am, maybe twelve-ish, I’ve learned from many years of experience that Furever is Now.
Kermit: Helloooo, Critters! I have made the descent from my Mountain home in the Forest to the Condo in the Valley!
Star: Oh, Kermit! I’ve heard so much about you, I feel like I know you already. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
Kermit: I feel the same, Star. Are you feeling fully oxygenated?
Star: Yes, I am, Kermit. Thank you for asking. Thank you very much.
Kermit: You’re welcome! Let’s share a photo of how Chris first perfected the art of the pivot for the edification and enjoyment of our readers. This will inform all Critters of our Couch Time Management as it unfolds in The Here and Now!
Kermit: Thank you for sharing this Art of the Pivot with us, Chris.
Chris: Of course of course. And now, Critters, here is the current state of the Couch.
Jasper: Star, how did the Path Unwinding lead you to Furever?
Star: My journey began two years ago with what is known in the vernacular as being a Stray. From there, I went into the Shelter System and then moved to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco.
Jasper: We understand that Muttville has a permanent policy in place that once you are a Muttville Mutt, you are always a Muttville Mutt. You can never be a Stray or taken to an Shelter ever again.
Star: Correct. I was adopted from Muttville two years ago into a Home, but I had to go back to MV recently due to circumstances beyond my control.
Jasper: Now you are adopted furever, Star. We are so pleased that you are here with us.
Star: Thank you, Jasper. I do luvluvluv kitties. Thank you very much.
Chris: All of us at Critters have made incredible journeys to Furever. I was born in a garage near the Tesla Factory. Jasper Kitten was found in a bush at a gas station. And Kermit, what about you?
Kermit: Good question, Chris. I went through five homes in my first year. I found Furever at my sixth home in the Mountain Forest. I’m breathing easy now.
Jasper: Star, we’d like to ask you about your canine ancestry. Do you know what’s in your mix?
Star: I’m mostly Chihuahua, but also have other illustrious ancestry, possibly and primarily Spaniel and Pomeranian.
Jasper: Would you consider a DNA profile kit?
Star: Gosh, that would be intriguing. Yes, I would luvluvluv to consider it.
Jasper: Do you think you are also made of stardust?
Star: Yes. Yes, I do.
Chris: Star, as your Cats, would you like me and Jasper to inadvertently drop food on the floor?
Star: Yes, that would be wonderful.
Kermit: I also feel quite bullish about the inadvertent food drops. Full stop.
Jasper: Star, this has been most informative for all of us here at Critters. We look forward to getting to know you, to luvluvluving you, and to anticipating antics beyond compare long into the future.
Star: Thank you, Jasper. It feels good to be home.
Chris: Furever.
Kermit: Critters, we’ll see you next time. So stay safe and stay oxygenated and have fun out there! Star, would you like to have the honors?
Star: Yes, thank you, Kermit. Star Log Number One Out. The End.
