My short Animal Antics is from 2018. My wife and I had moved to Ottawa Canada. One day, I was on our balcony and watching an Eastern Grey Squirrel bury food. Nearby, an American Crow was watching the squirrel. The crow began hopping and following the squirrel trying to find the buried food. The squirrel ran at the crow several times to get the crow to fly away. The crow would just hop away and right back again. The squirrel even began 'fake' burying food. The crow continued following. So entertaining to watch!
No lie. I had my cat euthanized he was 19 yo sick and in pain. After found lots of cat hair. Years later in a different state found his cat hair. Lately I saw a giant coffee tumbler move about an inch on its own. He likes being near me!
So sorry to hear about Panda, Heidi. Sending happiness and good thoughts.
I will have to think about an animal story to share! I’ve got a backlog of bird feeder antics i could tap into but am feeling inclined to think mammalian in this case. I’ll think and submit a message!
My Panda looks similar to your Panda. He sends good thoughts to your Panda and knows he will continue to feel comfortable with his beloved hoomans around him. 🐼
Sorry it took me so long, but I must tell you about my dear cat, Steve, who is so good at making friends, fitting in with everyone. He learned to rough house with Mori and Pluto when he was ten weeks old, jumping on Pluto's head, and clinging to Mori's neck as she tried to shake him off. When the two pups went after a group of wild turkeys on the property who remained sitting in intellectual pose after the turkeys flew off? Steve, who had been in the midst of them. This guy's got moxie and lots of style. And a diverse group of friends.
Our weggie, Buda, weighed sixteen pounds. His prodigious size dictated his relationship with the world. When neighborhood cats defined his boundaries, he claimed our fenced garden. He liked to nap under the birdbaths, a bit dicey for the birds, but he was fine as long as THEY didn't bother him. When a huge hawk perched in an elm, however, that was too much. He sauntered to the middle of the pathway, lay on his back, challenging the hawk's supremacy. The hawk stared at him and soon flew off. I could almost hear, "Rabid! No way am I touching that roadkill."
Thinking healthy and happy thoughts for Panda.

Aw, so sorry to hear about Panda!
Trying to narrow down the furry friend stories...I'll post one later. Steve, catitude with attitude, comes to mind, but which story...?
I’m keeping you and Panda in my thoughts, Heidi!
