Conversations with Critters
Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. And the Critters hit the books…
Today, the Critters are moving at a really good clip and are ready to hit the books! We are back Indoors, having braced the elements on our morning Nature Walk under leaden skies. The rain, the cold, the wind and the chill factor whipped through the Park. Brr brr. Through the bluster, we tread very carefully, staying to the path unwinding that was open open open, so we were out of the woods and protected from the risk posed to us by falling branches or even entire trees. We are pleased to report that no damage was done. We pressed on and have returned with our latest report from the Field. Please, join us in excellent intrepid critter conversation.
Heidi: Hello, Critters! Hello and welcome! You know, it’s been quite a week with our readers. We are pleased to share with you that we are experiencing a surge in subscribers to Conversations with Critters. Thank you to all of our friends and supporters who are helping us extend our community. We welcome all of you with gratitude. Thank you for helping us grow.
Panda: Welcome, Friends!
Chris: Hello. Welcome! I can’t say it enough. We are so pleased to have you here. Thank you very much.
Jasper: Ditto, Everyone!
Heidi: We would like to take this opportunity to offer a special shout out to One and All. If you would like to have your Critter featured in a Conversation please feel free to reach out to us.
Jasper: And now, we return to our regularly scheduled programming.
Chris: We are ready to hit the books! I’ve already started shredding one of our notebooks. That’s how excited and ready I am!
Panda: You sure do have a passion for research, Chris.
Chris: Yes.
Jasper: To put it mildly, Chris is in Beast Mode about our research topic today.
Chris: Critters, I recommend using your toe beans, retractable or non-retractable claws and even or especially your puncturing canine teeth, so that we can all stay on the same page.
Jasper: Great research tips, Chris. It really works. I’ve already found what I was looking for!
Chris: What.
Jasper: I have found that having an Orange Coat happens across a wide variety of Species. My utilization of a cross-section of Field Guides to Orange Critters proves it. I have a deep deep gratitude to the intrepid research efforts that went in to defining this incredible fact.
Panda: Critters, given the complexities of identification of flora and fauna, let’s each share an example of our most prized and cherished Field Guides. I will go first for the edification and enjoyment of our readers.
Panda: Critters, Friends, Readers, this Field Guide is of utmost importance. As you can plainly see, it helps, first and foremost, to identify Orange cats. Furthermore, as we delve into the pages, we are able to i.d. different kinds of Cats doing different kinds of Things. It’s that specific. The end.
Jasper: Panda, that’s a volume of poetry.
Chris: It’s not a Field Guide.
Panda: What’s the difference.
Chris: What.
Jasper: Chris, what is your first choice in Field Guides for the edification and enjoyment of our readers?
Chris: My Field Guide is as follows…
Chris: Critters, I recommend keeping this next to the Couch for all observations of the Bird Feeder. As of this writing, and in between naps, I have observed a House Finch, a Song Sparrow, and a Squirrel.
Panda: I didn’t know that a Squirrel would be in a Field Guide to the Birds of North America.
Chris: It was a rule out.
Panda: Oh, I see. Thank you for the clarification, Chris.
Chris: Of course. My pleasure. Jasper Kitten, what is your First Choice in Field Guides?
Jasper: Thank you for asking, Chris. I appreciate your consideration. Here is my Field Guide of choice. It is my fervent hope that it will help to educate one and all.
Chris: Gosh, those are some serious toe beans that left that track.
Jasper: Bobcats are truly incredible. But beyond Bobcats, what does our Hooman choose for a Field Guide?
Heidi: Thank you, I am humbled to present a Field Guide from my youth. I saved my allowance for this, Critters.
Jasper: Excellent choice, although the color patterns are less than desirable.
Panda: So much research and intrepid exploration goes into the compilation of Field Guides. We are truly in awe and appreciate the attentive attention from everyone.
Chris: Before we go, we have a special cinematic video to share with you. We highly recommend incorporating these techniques into your studies habits. It really means a lot to share our Critter Bona Fides with you.
Chris: Thank you for reading with us. We’ll see you next time!
Panda: Same Critter Time.
Jasper: Same Critter Channel.
