The Critters say Ugh to technical difficulties. We completely sympathize. Chris used his toe beans and brute strength just yesterday to send our old iPhone 8 Plus crashing to the floor. Fortunately it didn’t break. Take your time with the Crawl Space pics. Jasper Kitten is carefully crafting his interview questions this weekend, so he’ll be ready whenever it is convenient for C & G.:)
Excellent post! Haha, I did not know Panda's choice of field guides was an actual book. I thought it was a parody, haha. Jasper's choice is so underrated as well. Once you are able to identify tracks, it makes encounters in Nature so much more interesting and opens up a whole new world. Seeing and identifying tracks helps me 'see' a story of say, for example, a Red Fox passing through snow on their hunt for food or the Cottontail Rabbit that evaded capture. Brilliant choice Jasper!
Also, that video is great, it shows an excellent way to 'internalize' knowledge. ;)
I love critters, too, and wish I had met you when my most vocal critter, Nana the sheepdog, was pontificating on a multitude of subjects. Nana narrated a children's book, starred on a one-time tv show, served as a tourism ambassador, performed on stage at a theater, and visited over 100 schools--and much more. Thanks for your clever and entertaining blog. Hugs to all your critters.
Thank you for sharing some of these wonderful memories of Nana. If you would ever like to have a critter featured in a conversation, please let us know. It would fun. We recently featured, Katie the 16 year old Corgi, earlier this year and also featured her dearly departed companion, Lance. It was a great experience. We could think about something like that with your Nana too. Thanks so much.
We would luvluvluv to feature Archie if you’d like. You should have my gmail on your subscriber list. If this is something that you’d like, we can correspond through email to get the bio and photos and some of the dialogue going.
Thank you so much! We luvluvluv hearing about your own tracking skills. Jasper Kitten has already taken copious notes and is hitting the books to research snow, Red Fox, and Cottontail Rabbits. Panda’s choice in Field Guides does combine both parody and a former bestseller. She’s rather multi-faceted. And, yes, Chris internalized my very nice Moleskine cahier notebook.
Tell the critters I will be a friend to them. Barbara
Thank you, message delivered. We are so grateful. Thank you for being here with us.:)
Let's collaborate 😁
I am glad to hear that you got more subscribers -- I think it's very important to hear from the critters!
I am having serious technical difficulties with my phone so I am hoping to get a fix soon and take pictures for the Crawl Space tête-à-tête!

Yay, we are all very excited and ready for our interview!!
Genevieve always tries to rub up against the Alexa speaker and knocks it over. We are waiting in terror for the day we hear Alexa say, "Ouch!"
We definitely need to incorporate the Alexa Antic into the Conversation. Jasper Kitten take note!
Laughing out loud - “I could pee on this…”
I Could Pee On This is a very compelling critter read!

Well, I do have a surviving dog, Archie, who was Nana's sidekick for nine years.
