How sad. 😢 But in a way, Star is now off-leash and romping joyfully in spring meadows!

To pass in such a peaceful way, surrounded by love, is what we all wish for. You did a lovely thing Heidi, allowing yourself to love knowing it would be short. Bless you. I am glad Shining Star will continue in the story what a wonderful idea.

WOW .I haven't been on except a note filling people in on why , And come back to read about poor star , The elder statesmen of the critters . Only bright spot is she passed on peacefully in her sleep . Her life was hard yet she had love of her critter friends , her family , and all of us . She will be very missed By all of us . How are you taking it and your family Heidi ? People say you can't love animals as much as people . yes you can treat them right they love you a lot more than most people can now . So sad and sorry for you and Star . At least she is in peace now . Running by the creek no restrictions , peace and love to all .

I hope you are well and can’t even put into words how much your sympathy and condolences and luvluvluv go out to our special little dog who has graced all of our lives. In her loving honor, we will continue to feature Star and characterize her in our Detective Stories. Our elder statesman indeed. Thank you again, Mitch.

Heidi and Critters, We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Star. She was such a sweet pup and we feel so close to her.

We are seniors ourselves and we have lost three of our brothers and our sister in the past year. We know what it is like when one of our loved ones crosses the Rainbow Bridge.

Star was so dearly loved and blessed to have spent her last days with you. You were a wonderful family to her. We hope you will get another sister or brother soon. We are all rescue animals and we know how many precious pups of all ages need a loving family like yours.

You have such a wonderful mommy. Blessings to all of you. We will say prayers for you. Our mom tells us that all pups and kittens go to Heaven and we know she always tells us the truth.

Luv luv luv all of you! William, Emily, Julie Rae and Lois

I have not been on Substack much lately, but today I just read the news of Shining Star's crossing over. It is no doubt a loss, since she has a wonderful spirit about her. I enjoyed the nature video and I look forward to reading more of the detective stories.

In honour of Shining Star, Arya has flown around the living/dining room seven times and did so silently. All I could hear are the flutter of his wings.

Thank you so much, Perry & Arya. Your support means so much to me right now and I’m especially touched by the freedom of spirit and flight from Arya as I know it goes out to Star. Thank you beyond words. And it’s wonderful to see you here, I know you’ve been stepping away from Substack this summer.
