It's very touching that the birds have shown up for you again, Heidi. I believe in this phenomenon very much. A few years ago, two mourning doves perched on a beam right above me in the yard, and wouldn't leave my side. It dawned on me that maybe they were my beloved grandparents. I kept talking to them like they were, anyhow, and they didn't mind at all.
I'm sure Panda's spirit is there with you and the kitties. She will be missed by Cecilia, Genevieve, and me.

Sometimes when the shelter was overflowing we would have a "Pick Your Price" adoption event. Folks could pick their adoption fee. More times than not, they would offer more than the actually fee...
