Thank you, Neil! How wonderful that you wrote a Haiku for Ch 2! We'll be making a note of it. Fur Sure. And yes, looks can be deceiving. Thanks for staying tuned for Ch 3.:)
Arya and I have been away for two months and have returned to Substack, this story being among the first we have read. How intriguing to find a lab high in the mountains located in a nondrscript strip mall. An underground lab doing who knows what to our furry and feathered friends. I will wait to find out.
Welcome back Perry & Arya! Wonderful to have you here with us again as you have been missed. We feel honored to be among the first posts that you have read upon your return. It seems like a natural evolution in our new story to work in feathered characters. It could get wild.:)
The strip mall poem is a fantastic hiding in plain site phenomena! I also appreciated Jasper Kitten's ten and two safe driving commitment. So good, Heidi! An open-stairwell cliff-hanger!
Thank you, Mary! It's so fun that you appreciate the 10 and 2 on the steering wheel. Safety is paramount when you're Jasper Kitten about to take a very very big risk.:)
This story is getting interesting and I like the hidden in plain sight idea with the buildingélab. Looking forward to reading chapter 3, Heidi!

An impenetrable fortress in disguise! So much to figure out. So good there’s tea and scones!🐾✨
Thank you, Trudi! The tea and scones are keepers in the detective series. A little bit of England in the Oregon Cascade Mountains.:)
Yay! I approve.
You helped us put the kibble in scones.:)

A cleverly disguised bio lab in the mountains -- what will they find in there? I look forward to finding out in the next chapter.
Thanks, Heidi and critters, for another engaging instalment.
Thank you, Diana! It's about to get very very interesting in there.:) Thank you so much for reading with us!
