Thank you, Trudi! How wonderful to know that you luvluvluv alpacas! They are very popular on farms and ranches here, but I've also seen them in Peru. Very gentle and social.:)

I do! There’s an alpaca farm near a school I used to work at and we would walk the children there each summer. They were so peaceful and friendly. Beautiful faces! ✨

Camelids! A new term for me, and how super duper interesting about alpaca's feet! I've made notes about things to draw for next week's BrewTime notes, celebrating camelids! And! (in the style of your critters) some of our guests are from parts of South America where they have alpacas! What a great "Welcome to Austin" kind of drawing for my guests to increase the Welcome! factor. Great post, Heidi!

Incredible, Mary! Thank you and we can't wait to see your drawings. This is so creative and fun to share.:) The arriving guests from South America should feel right at home in Austin. Love it.

I can't wait to draw them, and I still have the possum with mittens and hat in my "to draw" queue!

Wonderful post! Alpaca noses look kissable. I wonder what alpaca pens smell like.

Thank you MamaCarole! This is such a fun comment. Perhaps a field trip is in order to check out those alpaca pens.:)

Interesting about the alpaca, Heidi. I like the haiku as well. Looking forward to chapter 15 of the Jumping Gene story next week. :)
