"the rhythm of dog paws constant in the snow" is THE BEST! I had a Siberian Husky named Sabre who loved to go out at night with me in the winter. Across the street from my house was a huge open farm field, and beyond that a woods that we called "Second Woods" (as the other woods, though not called "First Woods", was directly behind my house). There was little ground light so the stars shone brightly and I could see his shadow and hear his dog paw rhythm over the snow covered fields. Just loved this chapter, Heidi! You've captured winter as it's most endearing and brought back childhood memories of rural Michigan winter nights. 😀
Thank you so much, Mary! And wow just wow that the writing brought back such good memories of a beautiful friend in Sabre. So wonderful. The next time I see Sirius shining bright in the night sky, I'm going to offer my thanks to his memory. Furever.:)
Thank you so much, Neil. You know, it's been a whole year (Aug 30) since my little dog, Star, crossed the Rainbow Bridge and it seemed only right to give her the Sirius shoutout in the story, the brightest star in the heavens.
Jasper Kitten, we are so relieved you didn't get hurt! You have a lot of talents. Please be careful as you continue your journey.
Thank you very much, Lois. We know the Bowersock Hounds & Cats have Jasper Kitten's back.:)
You can count on it! It was a close call on that sled! Very dangerous. We hope Jasper Kitten doesn’t have to do that again… it was too scary.
It was fur sure.:)
Love the celestial guidance and so relieved Jasper is A-okay! 🐾🌟
Thank you Trudi! It is of the upmost importance to be A-okay! We hope you are too.:)
I certainly am! ✨
Excellent!

😊
Another great chapter, Heidi! I like opening and call-out of Star looking at Sirius (Canis Major.) A fine haiku as well to close up this chapter.

Whoa! Things are getting 'Sirius'. Pretty amazing that Jasper wasn't hurt by this incident. I look forward to the next chapter, Heidi and critters.
Thank you, Diana! That's right. Sirius indeed. Let's just hope that Jasper Kitten isn't walking on thin ice. Thank you so much for staying tuned.:)
