Conversations with Critters
Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. And Happy 2nd Birthday to Jasper Kitten…
Critters! For the second week in a row, we have a Tuesday Tear Down the Paywall episode to share with all of our Readers! This is Jasper Kitten’s Gift to All Readers for his 2nd Birthday Extravaganza! Exclamation mark. Exclamation mark. And if you have the means and if you so desire, please consider supporting these hardworking critters. Thank you. Thank you very much.
Furthermore! Friends, in Celebration of Turning 2, Jasper is offering the unique opportunity to take his 2nd Survey! Even if you did not take Jasper Kitten’s First of Its Kind Reader Survey for Conversations with Critters, you are cordially invited to take Jasper Kitten’s Wild and Crazy Second of Its Kind Reader Survey for Conversations with Critters. Here:
Did you tap on the Survey Link? If not, we will provide it throughout this post, so no worries! Jasper is looking out for you. Tapping tapping on the Survey Link will take you on Jasper’s Magic Carpet Ride to his deep deep questions which he has designed generally and specifically for your reading pleasure. It is that much fun. The end.
And so, with that much and so much said, please join us now in excellent celebratory critter conversation.
Heidi: Hello, Everyone! Welcome welcome and thank you so much for joining us as Jasper Kitten turns 2! We are here to wish him a very Happy Birthday! My baby. My baby.
Panda: Hello, Friends! Happy Birthday, Jasper Kitten!
Chris: What. I mean, Happy Birthday, Jasper Kitten!
Jasper: Oh my Gosh! Hello, Critters! Thank you for joining me in celebration of my incredible maturity! I am an adult. Thank you. Thank you very much. And I am also, now and furever, Orange.
Panda: Jasper, now that you are 2, we’d like to ask, generally and specifically, how do you feel about your maturity?
Jasper: Well, let me see. Thank you for this thoughtful question, Panda.
Chris: If this is going to take awhile, I’d like to take my next nap.
Jasper: Sure, no problem, Chris. However, I can sum this up real fast. In terms of my maturity at the Age of Two, I have done slightly more than nothing. The end.
Chris: Thank you, Jasper. Well said.
Jasper: Yes. Furthermore!
Chris: I’m listening from the couch now. I’m all ears.
Jasper: Excellent positioning, Chris. So! I will now present my well thought out treatise On the Nature of Genetics and Being Orange: A Less than Scientific Inquiry and Exploration of The Essential Coat Pattern by J.Kitten of Conversations with Critters. The end.
Chris: Impressive.
Panda: Incredible.
Jasper: Thank you. Thank you very much. And now, I present once again the Survey Link! Tapping tapping on this incredible link will take you on a data driven Magic Carpet Ride to Jasper Kitten’s Wild and Crazy Second of Its Kind Reader Survey for Conversations with Critters. I will see you there!
Panda: Critters, while the data is compiling and computing for the Survey, let’s take this opportunity to share a retrospective, carefully curated photo gallery of Jasper Kitten’s unique growth and evolution for the edification and enjoyment of our readers.
Panda: Jasper, we’ve heard through the grapevine that a good way to have a conversation, much less to continue a conversation, is by asking open-ended questions.
Jasper: Like what?
Chris: What. I’ve been, shall we say, appreciated for making that approach anatomically while bombing Zoom meetings. But too much attention has been brought to bear on my gentle gray nature as a result. So, I don’t see the value in this style of communication. The end.
Jasper: Ditto. Well said, Chris. So selfless. Thus, I would prefer a different conversational style myself quite frankly. Data driven. Laser focused. The end.
Panda: Your point is well taken. But however. I am going to ask you to take a deep deep dive with this. Because. In my experience which is so vast in the annals of time at Conversations with Critters, an example of an open-ended question is what time is my next meal?
Jasper: I see. Well. Since you put it that way, I see the value, relatively speaking, in this approach even though it’s rather nuanced and complex. Thank you, Panda. Thank you very much.
Chris: I agree, Critters. It’s time to eat. Jasper, I have some cake that you baked for me, left over from my Big Birthday Bash when I turned 7 years old the other day. Would you like it?
Jasper: Gosh. That’s awfully generous of you, Chris. Yes, I would like to eat that leftover cake. Thank you. Thank you very much.
Chris: Happy Birthday, Jasper Kitten!
Panda: Happy Birthday to you!
Chris: Hey! Where did he go? Jasper? Jasper?
Panda: Jasper Kitten left the Group Chat!
Chris: Wait! He took the cake and left a note!
Panda: Read it outloud, Chris! Hurry!
Chris: Critters, thank you for celebrating my 2nd Birthday with me. I luvluvluv you. I took a magic carpet ride to my Survey and will see you there!
Panda: Oh thank goodness! With that said, Critters, we’ll see you next time! So stay safe and have fun out there!

Happy Birthday to Jasper! 🎂🎈😻
Jasper is a great name and he looks like my kitty Squeaky! Thank you for sharing your story. Mine is named Squeaky because he can’t meow. He sort squeaks like a mouse.
Jasper Kitten looks just like my sister-in-law's Symba. He was a rescue cat and only has three legs, but is one of the most loving critters one would ever want to meet. Symba is very sociable and absolutely loves being around humans.
