Conversations with Critters
Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. And our 200th Post! Happy Bicentennial, Critters!
Today, Critters, we are truly humbled to offer our 200th Post to you. We launched Conversations with Critters almost two years ago, starting at zero, taking the first step and writing two posts per week. Thank you for reading. Thank you for subscribing. Thank you very much for keeping our fun luvluvluving little Stack on track!
And now! Welcome welcome to our Bicentennial Post! It’s Christmas in July as we feature the one, the only Noelle from New Jersey! This beautiful Feline Furbaby found her way to Furever this past Christmas and has quite a tale to tell. Please, join our Core Community Critters, Chris and Jasper Kitten and our Senior Shining Star, in excellent gifted critter conversation.
Heidi: Welcome, Friends! Thank you for being here with us for our incredible Bicentennial Post. Thank you very much for helping us reach this milestone at CwC! So what more can we say: Take it away, Critters!
Star: Hello, Dear Gentle Readers! We are shining bright and are so happy to welcome our Feline Friend, Noelle, to our community!
Noelle: Thank you for such a stellar intro, Star. It’s great to be here.
Star: Of course of course.
Jasper: You know what?
Chris: What.
Jasper: When CwC first launched, I was an actual kitten. The end.
Chris: I was also here for the Launch. Yes, I’ve been here every step of the way. Tapping tapping with my toe beans. The end.
Jasper: Incredible, Chris. This brings me, in fact, to my next thought.
Chris: I’m all ears, Jasper. Please. Proceed.
Jasper: I would like to say that my Origin Story of being Found in a Bush at The Gas Station gives us much in common with Noelle. This is known in the vernacular as foreshadowing. Full stop.
Chris: Jasper, thank you for building the suspense, the nuance and the subtlety for our conversation as we speak.
Star: Without further fanfare, Critters, we present to you, now and furever, our Featured Furbaby Conversation with Noelle from New Jersey!
Noelle: Gosh, thank you for featuring me for the Bicentennial Post at Conversations with Critters. I am truly humbled to be here for this incredible milestone. Thank you very much.
Jasper: You’re welcome! Noelle, like I said as a means of foreshadowing our conversation with you, where were you Found and how did this lead to Furever?
Noelle: Thank you for the question, Jasper. I was found behind a shed with my two littermates. It was December. It was New Jersey. It was cold.
Star: Did your Furever Family find you behind the shed or was there more of a circuitous journey on the path unwinding?
Noelle: Thank you, Star. Like so many of us these days, I was found by a Good Samaritan and then I utilized the internet to find Furever.
Chris: Did you use a toe bean tapping tapping behavior on the keyboard, Noelle?
Noelle: Yes, yes I did, Chris.
Chris: I’m glad to hear this as I find it quite effective.
Noelle: My Furever Family had gone quite a long time without a Furbaby. In a well thought out decision and through a friend of the Good Sam, they reached out to me. Otherwise, I was hiding under the Couch.
Chris: The Couch is my preferred place. Full stop. Please, continue, Noelle, we’re all ears.
Noelle: Thank you for being so understanding, Chris.
Chris: Absolutely. Please, let me know if you need a nap.
Noelle: Thank you, Chris. I hid under the couch at The Good Sam’s house. Because. They had three dogs and the arrangement was not, in my humble opinion, to my liking.
Chris: I see the concern, Noelle. This explains why you were under and not on the Couch.
Noelle: Yes.
Star: Hearing this situation with the three dogs really makes me appreciate my relationship with Chris and Jasper.
Jasper: We luvluvluv you, Star.
Chris: Ditto on the luvluvluv. You are our dog, Star.
Star: Thank you, Chris and Jasper. Now Noelle, would you consider living with a dog at some time in the future if the situation were to arise? At least, hypothetically.
Noelle: Gosh, I’d really have to think about it. It would need to be a family decision.
Star: I understand. Thank you for your candor.
Noelle: You’re quite welcome, Star.
Chris: Noelle, since your adoption, we understand that you enjoy helping out at home.
Noelle: Yes, I enjoy helping with the laundry and groceries.
Star: Critters, as a shining example of Noelle’s helpfulness around the house, let’s share a photo for the edification and enjoyment of our Readers.
Chris: Given that you were adopted at Christmas Time, did you also help with last minute holiday gift shopping?
Noelle: Yes, absolutely. I was instrumental in making this happen for my Furever Family.
Jasper: Incredible.
Chris: Impressive on both a general and specific level.
Noelle: Yes. Thank you. Thank you very much.
Star: Critters, let’s also share an additional photo of Noelle’s shopping skills which have been especially helpful on a Furever basis to help minimize any chaos that we may be caught up in during the holiday rush.
Jasper: Noelle, we have generally and geographically established that you Found Furever in New Jersey.
Noelle: Yes, that’s correct, Jasper Kitten.
Jasper: And may I ask specifically, what exit?
Noelle: Gosh, I believe it was the exit by the shed.
Jasper: We appreciate the confirmation.
Noelle: You’re very welcome.
Jasper: Now, as I used the literary device of foreshadowing at the beginning of our conversation, I would like to come full circle here and in Life Itself by sharing with you my very first Haiku for our very First CwC Post.
Noelle: I’m all ears for your poetic intent, Jasper.
You can’t pump your gas
In the state of Oregon
Or in New Jersey
Noelle: Incredible, Jasper. We have so much in common. Life really is circular.
Jasper: Thank you. Thank you very much. Critters, please, some legalese is in order and I note: the law in Oregon has changed and you can now pump your own gas. But! The option to have an attendant pump it for you is required by and to the full extent of the law. The end.
Chris: Thank you for this important legally binding clarification, Jasper.
Jasper: Of course, Chris, of course.
Star: Most of all, Noelle, thank you for making our Bicentennial so stellar.
Noelle: Gosh, you’re very welcome.
Chris: We look forward to many more posts and we hope you’ll come back and talk the talk with us again, Noelle.
Noelle: Thank you, I would luvluvluv to do that.
Star: Critters, we thank you and Noelle for filling our 200th Post with light and luvluvluv. Thank you. Furever.
Chris: We’ll see you next time. So stay safe and have fun out there!
Jasper: The End.

Happy 200 Heidi and Critters. What an achievement. A fun post with the beautiful Noelle, thank you ❤️🙏
Congratulations on your anniversary, Heidi. Noelle appears to have assembled herself quite the portfolio of real estate since she has been in your domicile. What a cat . . .
