Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. And Book Number 2 from the J Kitten, Sleuth & Purveyor of Bright Shiny Objects Detective Agency! The Case of The Bowled Over Bowler Hat! Chapter 1!
Thank you, Chris! We hope to offer a most enjoyable detective story in England! The Manor House mystery meets the J Kitten, Sleuth & Purveyor of Bright Shiny Objects Detective Agency. The end. Haha!😺🐾🐾
I love two aspects of this story in particular; the small details that add authenticity to a story. The first is the blue airmail envelopes that were so common in pre-Internet days. That and the thin lightweight vellum paper. Sent many an airmail letter.
The second is how Jasper Kitten carries and inspects his attache case. I still have my black Samsonite attache case with a combination lock that I bought while working as an engineer 40 years ago. It is in excellent shape and carries its own engineering secrets.
Thank you so much, Perry. I really appreciate this nuanced reading of the story and images that I've tried to convey. I even thought about describing the attache case as the very kind that you have, the classic black Samsonite, but went with the cap lettering instead to make it a proper noun. I always loved the blue airmail letters, too. Perhaps only Arya knows the engineering secrets held within your own Samsonite.:)
Hitting the ground running indeed! Congratulations on 250 posts. The time and work you put in is abundantly clear, Heidi. Thank you, and I look forward to your new chapters.
Happy New Year! Congrats on Critter starting the new year with an overseas case. 'State your coat pattern', that's the most hilarious question I've ever heard from a customs officer!
Thank you, Bree and Happy New Year! The Critter Customs scene does seem to resonate with our friends today! So fun. Please, stay tuned for Ch. 2 next Tuesday!
Thank you, Kristin! I'm so glad you like it! It's going to be in serial format like the first story, so please stay tuned on Tuesdays. That's so great to know you enjoyed the Customs intro! Each novel needs to stand on its own, but also build on what came before. Now, would you like to Clementine and Petal again?
This reminds me a bit of "Downton Tabby", travelling to a manor house in the English countryside with cats. Is there security horses? :)
Thank you, Squizz! Haha, that’s so fun! That’s a good question about the horses! The Critters will take it under advisement!
Am finally finding time to start the new story! Critters, you all are a heap of fun! Jasper Kitten, please be careful in those roundabouts!🐾
Thank you, Louise! The Critters are very happy to have you here with us, reading the new detective story! Please. Stay. Tuned.:)
Loved reading this so much! Very happy the critters have a classic mini. Good taste and great toe bean work, critters! 🐾
Thank you, Trudi! Did you like the original mini close encounter with the country hedge? So fun. Thank you very much for reading!
Oh wow! I luvluvluv that this one is set in England, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the adventure leads them this time. The end. Haha! 😎
